1. Service Description

ShipItAI is an automated code review service that uses artificial intelligence to analyze pull requests and provide feedback. The service integrates with GitHub to review code changes and post comments.

2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

ShipItAI provides AI-generated suggestions only. All reviews, comments, and recommendations are produced by artificial intelligence and should be treated as suggestions, not definitive guidance. AI can make mistakes, miss issues, or provide incorrect recommendations.

You acknowledge and agree that:

ShipItAI is not a substitute for human code review
The service may fail to detect bugs, security vulnerabilities, or other issues in your code
AI-generated suggestions may be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific use case
You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating all code before deployment

3. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The service will meet your requirements or expectations
The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
The results obtained from the service will be accurate, reliable, or complete
Any errors in the service will be corrected

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SHIPITAI, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of profits, revenue, or data
Business interruption
Costs of procurement of substitute services
Damages arising from bugs, security vulnerabilities, or other issues that the service failed to detect
Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service

This limitation applies regardless of whether the damages are based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ShipItAI and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

Your use of the service
Your violation of these terms
Your code, software, or any products or services you develop
Any claim that your code caused damage to a third party

6. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Conducting thorough human code review in addition to using ShipItAI
Testing all code changes before deploying to production
Maintaining appropriate security practices in your development process
Evaluating whether AI-generated suggestions are appropriate for your codebase
Complying with all applicable laws and regulations

7. Data and Privacy

ShipItAI processes your code diffs to provide reviews. We do not permanently store your source code. Review metadata (summaries, comments posted) is retained for 90 days for debugging and service improvement. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

If you use your own Anthropic API key with ShipItAI:

You are responsible for securing your API key
API usage is billed directly to your Anthropic account
We encrypt your key at rest but you accept the risk of providing credentials to a third-party service

9. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
